Lightbuckets, the online telescope rental organization, has chosen the FLI ProLine PL230-42 Cooled CCD Camera as the imager of choice on the new Astelco 0.80 meter (32") professional class telescope (above) newly installed in France.

 

The ProLine's E2V back illuminated sensor, deep cooling, low noise, and superb frame quality coupled with this huge aperture scope will provide subscribers with the best images to date.

The new Astelco 0.80 meter (32") professional class telescope with the FLI ProLine PL230-42 Cooled CCD and FLI CFW-3-12 Color Filter Wheel will be online soon. FLI also has a MicroLine ML8300 Cooled CCD in use on the LB0005 305 mm (12") Newton with an FLI CFW-2-7 Color Filter Wheel and research grade filters.

2. Click "Register" and create a new account

3. Select either LB0005 (MicroLine) or the new Astelco observatory 

4. Set up your preferences, schedule (below) and target

5. Contact FLI to transfer points (time) to your account

5. Complete your image

What is Lightbuckets

Lightbuckets.com is a network of online observatories located in France. Subscribers pay (by buying points) for imaging time on their equipment, and can then schedule, target, setup, and download astronomical images.
